  Man, what a find.  I was working in Carthage and passed this little joint on my way to the facility. At lunch I asked the guy I was working with if it was any good.  Said he had never been there, but heard it was pretty good.  That's all I needed. I pretty good burger is OK with me.  Ordered us a few different burgers, grabbed a bag of chips and a couple sodas and headed back.  
   Those ladies do it right!!  Those were some of the tastiest burger I have ever had.  I will definitely be back!

  I grew up in Carthage Missouri which would of course explain one of the reasons why it'so awesome.  That and the Town square which hasn't changed in all the years that this planet has been blessed to have me.
  I was joined on this road trip by Nova of course and my spawn.  I hadn't been back to Carthage for almost 30 years because of a series of unfortunate relationships gone wrong.  It was unfortunately a funeral that pulled me back to this magical town.  
  It was here that I learned to appreciate the raw power, the beauty, and the Majesty of a severe thunderstorms and the heart pumping adrenaline fueled rush of chasing tornados.  It was here that I learned that fire flys are really lightning bugs, cray fish are really craw daddies, and the only acceptable food to serve after church on Sunday is fried chicken.  I also learned that the reason God gave us all a butt is that there were times when we deserve a good whoopin' because of the stupid stuff we'd do as kids.
  But most importantly, I learned, and it still holds true even after being away for 30 years that no one and I mean no one makes a better burger then Whisler's.
  
  I'm sure that the spawn had grown tired of me bringing up memories of how my Grandpa just to take me there on Saturdays but his mind would soon be changed as will yours if you ever make it there.
  
  We headed over after the funeral and other then the color of the building it was the same as I remember.  The menu has expanded but the same is the same.  The lady behind the counter reminded me that you used to be able to get 5 burgers for a buck back when I was kid.  
  
  These burgers are not sliders but they are on the small side.  I went for a double cheeseburger and encouraged the wife and kid to do the same. Nova followed suit which amazed me because she never does what I suggest just to piss me off but the spawn did his own thing and went for the "farm".
  
  Dearsweetbabyjesus, I felt like I was 10 years old when I took the first bite.  Z accused me of culinary child abuse since I had never taken him before and that he found it refreshing that for once one of the stories I had shared with him about my childhood wasn't complete and utter bullshit.
  
  One last thing. When she gave us out burgers she pulled 3 small brown bags from under the counter and said
  
  "Do you remember these"
  
  Bags of candy. Tootsie rolls and dum dum lollipops.
  
  5 stars. Simply the best there is.

  Its a small place with a simple menu.  I came here the first time hungry so I may have over estimated the taste. I came back the second time and I have to say I love it. They are small but perfect. My family definitely gave 2 thumbs up!

  My most all time favorite places to grab a bag full of hamburgers.  Their Pig n Bulls are excellent and worth the price.  I grew up getting these hamburgers.  A great place to eat.

  We were heading home from Missouri to Oklahoma and happened upon this place. Best burger I've had in a very long time. Someone call Guy Fieri!!!! #Dinersdinein&dives
